Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is expected to make his NFL debut Sunday at SoFi Stadium after missing three weeks of practice with an ankle injury.

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium, a source told ESPN. The first-round pick has been recovering from a high ankle sprain sustained during a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Aug. 13. The injury forced the rookie to miss three weeks of practice before returning as a limited participant this Wednesday and Thursday.

Head coach Mike LaFleur stated on Wednesday that the team did not place any limits on Love during practice this week. While the official injury report and game designation are scheduled for release Friday afternoon, LaFleur noted he feels good about the running back's status. Love declined to wear a suggested walking boot during his recovery, opting instead to begin immediate rehabilitation to prepare for the season opener.

Love indicated on Thursday that his ankle is improving daily and that he feels excitement rather than nerves regarding his imminent professional debut. The Cardinals' final determination on his availability will follow the conclusion of the week's practice sessions in Tempe.
