Atlanta defeated the New Orleans Saints 45-24 on Monday Night Football, recording five rushing touchdowns and 223 passing yards from Michael Penix Jr.

The Atlanta Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints 45-24 on "Monday Night Football," marking their second consecutive victory to reach a 2-2 record. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr., returning from a November ACL surgery, completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions. This performance followed a 35-14 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, making Atlanta the first team in NFL history to win consecutive road primetime games by 20 or more points according to ESPN Research.

Atlanta’s offense produced five rushing touchdowns against the Saints as the team surpassed 200 yards on the ground for the second straight week. Bijan Robinson recorded 145 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, while Brian Robinson Jr. added three rushing scores and 62 yards on 14 attempts. Penix is the first Falcons quarterback since 2018 to achieve a completion percentage of at least 70% and 10 yards per attempt in two straight games.

The victory represents a significant scoring increase for a team that managed a league-low 16 combined points while starting Cooper Rush during an 0-2 start. Following the return of Penix in Week 3, the Falcons have scored a league-high 80 points over their last two contests. Atlanta next faces the Baltimore Ravens on "Sunday Night Football."
