With nine seconds remaining in regulation, Hurts connected with receiver Darius Cooper for a 3-yard touchdown pass, marking Cooper's first NFL score and the quarterback's first career go-ahead passing touchdown in the final minute. The win moved Philadelphia to a 2-0 record.

Hurts finished the game completing 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, while adding 16 rushing yards on five carries. The Eagles offense operated without running back Saquon Barkley, tight end Dallas Goedert, and left guard Landon Dickerson due to injuries. Trailing by three following a Tennessee field goal with six minutes left, Hurts completed 5-of-7 passes on the final possession, including a 19-yard completion to DeVonta Smith on third-and-6 to reach the Titans' goal line.

Following the win, Hurts addressed Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons regarding pregame comments where Simmons suggested Tennessee needed to force Hurts to stay in the pocket. "You started that s---," Hurts told Simmons during a postgame exchange. "I had to finish it." Simmons later clarified his remarks, stating he intended to highlight the importance of containing Hurts' scrambling ability rather than questioning his skills as a pocket passer. The victory improved Hurts' career regular-season record as a starter to 59-25.
