This performance marks the Internationals' largest advantage after two sessions since the 1998 event at Royal Melbourne. It is the second consecutive time the Americans have been shut out in a foursomes session at the Presidents Cup.

Nick Taylor and Corey Conners earned a 1-up victory over Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns. After Conners was forced to punch out of the trees on the 18th hole, Taylor struck a 151-yard 9-iron to within one foot of the cup to save par. The match was decided when Burns missed a birdie putt that would have halved the contest. In another tight match, Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee defeated their American opponents 1 up. Fox squared the match with a 15-foot birdie on the 15th hole, followed by a 20-foot birdie on the 16th to take the lead, before sealing the win with a 4-foot par putt on the 18th.

Three other matches ended before reaching the final hole. Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im won 3 and 2 against Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman, aided by a four-hole winning streak on the front nine and a 20-foot birdie from Matsuyama. Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout never trailed in their 3-and-2 win over Justin Thomas and Cameron Young. Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim defeated Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay with a 4-and-3 scoreline. The tournament continues Saturday with four morning fourball matches and four afternoon foursome matches, with 20 total points remaining.
