Philadelphia 76ers stars LeBron James and Joel Embiid will miss Saturday's road game against the Charlotte Hornets due to injury management. According to Kris Rhim of ESPN, James is sidelined with low back/sciatica, while Embiid is managing right foot plantar fasciitis. This marks the first time this season that both players have been unavailable for the same contest.
The matchup in Charlotte is the second game of a back-to-back for Philadelphia. James enters the break following what coach Nick Nurse described as his "best game" of the season, a 20-point, nine-rebound, and eight-assist performance during Friday night's home victory over the New York Knicks. That win represented James' first 20-point outing since joining the Sixers.
Several other Philadelphia players remain on the injury report. Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable with a left patella injury after missing Friday's win. Center Tacko Fall, who has yet to play this season, is questionable with a quad injury. Forward/center Jabari Walker is also questionable with a knee injury sustained during last Saturday's win against the Milwaukee Bucks.
