Leo Carlsson recorded two points against the team that signed him to a record-breaking $90 million offer sheet as the Ducks beat the Flyers 5-4.

Leo Carlsson recorded a goal and an assist on the game-winner as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4 on Saturday. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak for Anaheim. Carlsson, who was assisted by Cutter Gauthier on his goal, also provided a power-play assist on a tally by Beckett Sennecke. The performance brought Carlsson’s season totals to 13 points, consisting of three goals and 10 assists through 11 games.

The matchup followed a summer in which Philadelphia signed Carlsson to a five-year, $90 million offer sheet on July 3. The $18 million average annual value represented the richest in NHL history at the time. Anaheim matched the offer six days later to retain the 21-year-old center through the 2030-31 season, preventing the Flyers from acquiring him in exchange for four first-round picks.

Carlsson entered the contest with seven power-play points and has shown consistent growth since being selected No. 2 overall in the 2023 draft. After recording 29 points as a rookie and 45 in the 2024-25 season, he set career highs last year with 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points in 70 games. The Ducks currently lead the Flyers in recent transactions, having previously acquired Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale from the organization.
