Lone'er Kavanagh will face the No. 7 ranked Ramazonbek Temirov on the UFC 333 main card in Abu Dhabi on October 24.

Lone'er Kavanagh is scheduled to face Ramazonbek Temirov at UFC 333 on Oct. 24 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The 27-year-old London-based flyweight enters the contest following a submission loss to Brandon Royval at UFC 329 in July, a bout that earned Fight of the Night honors on the Conor McGregor return card. Kavanagh currently holds a high ranking in the division after securing a unanimous decision upset victory against former champion Brandon Moreno in Mexico City earlier this March.

His opponent, Uzbekistan’s Ramazonbek Temirov, is currently ranked No. 7 and remains unbeaten in the UFC. Temirov recently secured a first-round finish against Steve Erceg and has not lost an MMA bout in seven years. The matchup features two strikers with kickboxing backgrounds; Kavanagh is a five-time K1 kickboxing champion, while Temirov has never been knocked out in his professional career.

Kavanagh, who earned his UFC contract via a first-round knockout on Dana White's Contender Series, trains at Great Britain Top Team under Brad Pickett. A victory at UFC 333 would position the winner toward a title shot against current champion Joshua Van, who recently defended his belt with a dominant win over Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 331. The event marks Kavanagh's second appearance on a high-profile numbered UFC card.
