Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to the practice field this week after missing two games due to a left ankle injury sustained 18 days ago. During the media viewing portion of Thursday's session, Jackson participated in every drill and was officially listed as a limited participant for the second consecutive day. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey noted that the quarterback moved around well during the workout.
Following the practice, Humphrey voiced his displeasure regarding what he termed "slander" and "unfair treatment" directed at Jackson in media reports. The cornerback suggested the criticism might stem from Jackson’s lack of an agent to defend him, asserting that the quarterback will play whenever he is healthy enough to do so. Humphrey declined to clarify if his comments specifically referred to coverage of the ankle injury.
If cleared to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jackson would bring a career 11-2 record against the divisional rival. In those 13 matchups, he has recorded 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. Humphrey stated that if Jackson is unable to start, the team will rely on backup Tyler "Snoop" Huntley.
