Natalia Silva and Wang Cong will compete for the vacant flyweight championship at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, marking the first women's headlining bout of 2026.
Natalia Silva (20-5-1) and Wang Cong (10-1) are scheduled to meet for the vacant flyweight championship at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City. This matchup represents the first UFC event of 2026 headlined by women. Wang, a 34-year-old former professional kickboxer from China, enters the bout against the 29-year-old Silva, a Brazilian fighter who earned a Fight of the Night award in 2024 against Jessica Andrade.
ESPN Research indicates that women's bouts have comprised 13% of the 415 total UFC fights promoted this year, the lowest percentage in a decade. Furthermore, 83% of women's matches in 2026 have been placed on the preliminary portion of cards, an increase from 54% in 2017. The Silva-Wang pairing is the first women's numbered event headliner since Amanda Nunes fought Irene Aldana in June 2023.
The UFC 332 card also features Ateba Gautier (5-0), who has recorded four knockouts in the UFC. Gautier will face 35-year-old Russian veteran Roman Kopylov in a middleweight contest. Additionally, former champion Deiveson Figueiredo is set to fight Payton Talbott, while Anthony Wint, who earned a contract on the Contender Series on August 11, will face Lucas Armand in his third fight in less than two months.
