A source told ESPN there is "no way" the New York Jets trade Garrett Wilson by the November 10 deadline, as the team views the 26-year-old as a central building block.

The New York Jets do not intend to trade star wide receiver Garrett Wilson before the NFL’s Nov. 10 trade deadline, according to sources told by ESPN. Despite increased league speculation, a well-placed source stated there is "no way" the team moves the 26-year-old receiver. Wilson is currently under a four-year, $130 million contract extension signed 15 months ago that runs through the 2030 season.

Jets ownership reportedly opposes a trade involving Wilson, who the organization views as a foundational piece for the 2027 roster. While the team recently traded cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams for draft capital—including a 2027 first-round pick from Indianapolis and a 2027 first-rounder from either Dallas or Green Bay—management now prioritizes retaining talent over accumulating further picks.

Wilson recently expressed his desire to remain with the franchise, telling reporters, "I want to be here, man. I want to win games." While other receivers like Brian Thomas Jr., Josh Downs, Jauan Jennings, Jerry Jeudy, and Calvin Ridley are being discussed in trade talks, the Jets have signaled that Wilson remains untouchable. This stance follows a recent high-profile trade where the Tennessee Titans moved Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick on Thursday, despite previous claims he would not be dealt.
