Texas signal-caller Arch Manning finished second in the survey with seven votes. LaNorris Sellers of South Carolina secured two votes, while LSU’s Sam Leavitt and Notre Dame’s CJ Carr each received a single vote.

Scouts identified an unusually deep pool of potential first-round talent beyond the top five vote-getters. The expanded list of prospects includes Brendan Sorsby (Texas Tech), Darian Mensah (Miami), Jayden Maiava (USC), John Mateer (Oklahoma), Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), Julian Sayin (Ohio State), Josh Hoover (Indiana), Drew Mestemaker (Oklahoma State), Demond Williams Jr. (Washington), and Nico Iamaleava (UCLA).

NFL personnel will converge on two major matchups this weekend to evaluate these prospects. A total of 22 scouts from 17 teams, including the Miami Dolphins general manager, are slated to attend the No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 4 Texas game featuring Sayin and Manning. Meanwhile, 20 scouts and executives from 13 teams, including general managers from the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons, will be in Stillwater for Oregon’s game against Oklahoma State to observe Moore and Mestemaker.

Several factors contributed to this year's depth, including Moore returning to school despite a projected top-five grade and Sorsby transferring to Texas Tech. While Mestemaker remains a prospect of interest, his immediate stock declined following Oklahoma State's season-opening loss to Tulsa. This poll marks the third year of the exercise, which previously saw Shedeur Sanders and LaNorris Sellers as early-season leaders in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
