Eagles running back Tank Bigsby requires core muscle surgery following an injury against the Rams, while Saquon Barkley is considered week-to-week.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby will be placed on injured reserve to undergo core muscle surgery at the Vincera Institute. Sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that the team hopes Bigsby can return in six weeks or less following the procedure. The injury occurred during the final moments of Sunday’s game against the Rams when Byron Young tackled Bigsby after a short run to the right side.
Starting running back Saquon Barkley is currently week-to-week after exiting the first quarter of Sunday's contest with a hamstring injury. While Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report the issue is not considered long-term, head coach Nick Sirianni did not confirm Barkley's availability for the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Will Shipley remains the only healthy running back on the active roster, though the team maintains Dameon Pierce, Carson Steele, and Jaydon Blue on the practice squad.
The Eagles' offensive line is also facing personnel changes as left guard Cam Jurgens entered concussion protocol on Monday. Jurgens, who self-reported symptoms, had recently moved from center to guard to fill in for Landon Dickerson, who is currently on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
