Houston sent a 2027 second-round and sixth-round pick to Arizona for Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 seventh-round selection.

Texans coach DeMeco Ryans announced the completion of a trade for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. following Houston's 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. To acquire the former No. 4 overall pick, the Texans sent a second-round and a sixth-round selection in the 2027 draft to Arizona. In return, Houston received Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

During the win against Tennessee, quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 26-of-34 passes for 261 yards and two total touchdowns. The trade reunites Stroud with Harrison; the pair previously played together at Ohio State from 2021 to 2022. Defensive end Will Anderson also contributed to the victory with three sacks. The win moved Houston to 1-4 on the season after an 0-4 start.

Harrison was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions as the deal was finalized. Through four games this season, he recorded five receptions on 12 targets for 85 yards and one touchdown. He ranked as the fifth-most-targeted player on the Cardinals' offense, trailing Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, and Jeremiyah Love.

Financial terms of the deal include Harrison’s remaining $4 million salary for this year and $5.62 million due in 2027. The Cardinals have already paid his $22.5 million signing bonus. The wide receiver, who was the fourth pick in 2024, will have a fifth-year option decision due this upcoming offseason.
