Tottenham remain winless after a 0-0 draw with Everton, extending a streak of four Premier League matches without a goal.

Tottenham played to a 0-0 draw against Everton on Saturday, extending a season-opening run of four Premier League matches without scoring a goal. The result follows a summer transfer window in which the club spent approximately £400 million ($541m) on new signings. While the side controlled the opening 30 minutes of play, they failed to find a breakthrough before losing energy in the second half.

Coach Roberto De Zerbi attributed the slow start to a lack of physical conditioning and confidence. He noted that key players including Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, and late arrivals Omar Marmoush and Sávio only began training together two Thursdays ago. De Zerbi also cited a lack of shots on goal and poor decision-making as primary factors in the scoreless result.

Fitness issues have been compounded by a spate of pre-season injuries. Mateus Fernandes and Micky Van de Ven suffered setbacks during a trip to Australia, while Solanke has also dealt with injury concerns. De Zerbi emphasized that many squad members are still recovering from their involvement in the World Cup, preventing the team from maintaining their intensity for a full 90 minutes.
