The event serves as the official kickoff for their heavyweight bout, which is confirmed for Dec. 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. According to ESPN, the fight is being financed by Turki Alalshikh and will be broadcast by Netflix.

Preparations for the media event were briefly delayed by complications regarding Fury's enrollment with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). While those issues have been resolved with Fury now enrolled, further friction arose regarding Dana White's involvement. White confirmed he will not attend the London event after Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, claimed White cannot be part of the promotion, despite White’s previous assertions of involvement.

Wednesday’s gathering will provide the first photo opportunities for the primary figures behind the Dec. 11 matchup. The meeting follows more than a decade of negotiations between the two British heavyweights.
