Will Smith lined a two-run double into the left-center-field gap with the bases loaded to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 2-1 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the NLCS. According to ESPN, Smith became the first Dodger other than Andy Pages to record a hit with runners in scoring position during the contest. The go-ahead hit followed a decision by Dodgers management to pinch-hit for Pages earlier in the game.
Milwaukee took an immediate 1-0 lead on the first pitch of the game when Jackson Chourio hit a home run. Despite falling behind, the Brewers' defense recorded multiple highlights, including catches by outfielders Garrett Mitchell and Luis Lara.
The Dodgers entered the matchup trailing 0-2 in the series after losing the first two games at American Family Field. Los Angeles is currently attempting to avoid a 3-0 deficit as they pursue a third consecutive championship title. The Brewers, who were swept by the Dodgers in the 2025 NLCS, are seeking a commanding lead in the best-of-seven series at Dodger Stadium.
