Quarterback Caleb Williams exited Sunday's game against Minnesota with a right hamstring injury after falling during a fourth-quarter scramble.
The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears 9-3 on Sunday in a game played under a steady downpour at Soldier Field. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams exited the contest midway through the fourth quarter after suffering a right hamstring injury during a scramble toward the end zone. Following a fourth-down conversion by running back Kyle Monangai, Williams attempted to run left before his leg gave way, causing him to fall awkwardly.
Williams was unable to stand without assistance from trainers and spent several minutes in the injury tent before being transported to the locker room via cart. While leaving the field with a towel over his head, the quarterback signaled to the crowd with a thumbs up and a raised right fist. Tyson Bagent entered the game in relief of Williams, but the Bears offense failed to score a touchdown despite having two plays inside the Minnesota 6-yard line. The scoring threat ended when Cairo Santos’ 23-yard field goal attempt was blocked, preserving the Vikings' six-point lead.
