Carolina Reyna Joins U.S. U17 Women’s World Cup Roster

Forward Carolina Reyna was named to the 21-player U.S. U17 Women's World Cup roster on Thursday, joining five other forwards for the tournament in Morocco.

Head coach Ciara Crinion announced a 21-player United States roster on Thursday for the U17 Women’s World Cup, featuring forward Carolina Reyna. The FC Westlake product, who has earned five caps at this level, is one of six forwards selected for the tournament beginning Oct. 19 in Morocco. Her inclusion makes her and brother Gio Reyna the first brother-sister duo to represent the U.S. at U17 World Cups. Gio previously competed in the 2022 and 2026 senior World Cups and currently plays for Strasbourg in French Ligue 1.

The roster includes one professional, 17-year-old defender Meila Brewer, who recently signed with Dallas Trinity FC of the USL Super League. Three early-enrolled college players were also selected: midfielder Mia Corona (UCLA) and forwards Amari Manning and Deus Stanislaus (both UNC). Forward Maddie DiMaria leads the squad’s offensive statistics with 12 goals in 18 caps, while midfielder Loradana Paletta enters the tournament with 16 caps and five goals.

The United States opens group stage play against Samoa, followed by matches against Kenya and China. The program seeks its first U17 world title after finishing as runners-up in 2008 and placing third in 2024. The Reyna family previously became the first to have three members play for senior U.S. national teams, as parents Claudio and Danielle both represented the senior squads, with Danielle earning six caps in 1993.
