Dana White Reiterates Involvement as Uncertainty Clouds Joshua-Fury Clash

Tyson Fury estimates a 1% chance of his December 11 fight against Anthony Joshua occurring following disputes over Dana White's promotional role.

Tyson Fury has placed the probability of his December 11 heavyweight bout against Anthony Joshua at just 1% following a dispute over the involvement of promoter Dana White. Although a deal was announced on Friday for the two British fighters to meet at a ring in Cardiff, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has since challenged White’s official role in the event. White, the head of UFC and Zuffa Boxing, was named as a co-promoter alongside Turki Alalshikh’s company, The Ring.

Speaking on his YouTube channel on Saturday, Fury suggested that Hearn and Joshua are attempting to withdraw from the agreement. White addressed the situation at the Copper Box following Johnny Fisher’s victory, asserting his continued involvement and criticizing Hearn for failing to finance the bout independently. White claimed that Hearn has hindered the negotiation process despite his role as a facilitator.

Further clarity regarding the status of the event is expected within three to four days. Both Fury and Joshua are currently scheduled to attend a press conference in London on Wednesday to address the blockbuster clash.
