Miguel Rojas remains on the Dodgers' NLCS roster following a lower back scare, while left-hander Justin Wrobleski joins the pitching staff.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have included infielder Miguel Rojas on their 26-man roster for the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Rojas, 37, was previously sidelined by lower back pain after exiting the Dodgers' 3-1 Game 3 victory over the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS. Imaging conducted after that game primarily showed existing back issues, and the veteran infielder participated in a workout at American Family Field on Saturday.
Left-hander Justin Wrobleski joins the roster as the 13th pitcher, an increase from the 12 pitchers used in the previous round. Wrobleski, a first-time NL All-Star this year, posted a 12-5 record with a 3.66 ERA across 22 starts and six relief appearances. To accommodate these roster decisions, the Dodgers left off infielder Hyeseong Kim, who played in one NLDS game as a defensive replacement.
The Milwaukee Brewers elected to make no changes to their roster, retaining the same 26 players used during their NLDS victory over the San Diego Padres. Game 1 of the series is scheduled for Sunday night in Milwaukee. Rojas, who hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Game 7 of the previous World Series, has indicated he may retire following the conclusion of this season.
