Jake Bauers hit a 412-foot, two-run home run off Blake Snell to help the Milwaukee Brewers defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 in Game 3 of the NLCS.

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 on Wednesday night to take a 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series. Jake Bauers provided the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning with a two-run home run off Blake Snell, a drive that traveled 412 feet with an exit velocity of 109 mph. The victory moves Milwaukee within one win of their first World Series appearance since 1982.

Jackson Chourio opened the scoring by hitting Snell’s first pitch of the game for a solo home run to right field. Snell recovered to strike out nine batters and retire 14 consecutive hitters before the seventh inning. The Dodgers took a brief lead with two runs in the sixth, but the Brewers responded after Andrew Vaughn drew a leadoff walk in the seventh. Christian Yelich entered as a pinch runner for Vaughn before Bauers connected on the 11th pitch of his at-bat.

Following the Bauers home run, Garrett Mitchell extended the lead with a 428-foot solo shot to right field, ending Snell's night at 81 pitches. The Brewers added two insurance runs later in the contest, while closer Trevor Megill secured a four-out save to finalize the 6-2 score. According to ESPN Research, Bauers is the second player since 1988 to reach base twice in a single postseason following plate appearances of at least 11 pitches.

Game 4 is scheduled for Thursday. Milwaukee has the opportunity to sweep the two-time defending champions one year after being swept by Los Angeles in the 2025 postseason.
