The San Francisco 49ers retained the top spot in the Week 6 NFL Power Rankings following a 32-29 victory against the Seattle Seahawks.

The San Francisco 49ers (5-0) remained No. 1 in ESPN's Week 6 Power Rankings after a 32-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Despite the win, the 49ers rank 20th in third-down defense, allowing conversions on 40.8% of attempts. The New England Patriots moved into the top 10 following a 45-17 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Quarterback Drake Maye led New England to 536 total yards, the franchise's highest mark since 2021. The Patriots currently face depth issues at cornerback, playing Sunday with only three healthy players at the position.

Green Bay climbed the rankings after a 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears. Jordan Love threw for 367 yards, the second-highest total in the history of the Bears-Packers series. However, the Packers lost linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to season-ending Achilles injuries. The Chicago secondary struggled in the loss, with veteran Jaylon Johnson allowing catches on 77.3% of targets thrown into his coverage.

At the bottom of the rankings, the Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and Miami Dolphins all fell to 0-5. The Chargers lost 23-17 to the Denver Broncos after surrendering a seven-point lead in the final nine minutes. Denver's defense limited the Chargers despite recording three missed tackles on a 42-yard touchdown run by Kimani Vidal. The Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) held the No. 2 spot during their bye week, though the unit has recorded zero sacks through the first month of the 2026 season.
