The San Francisco 49ers (6-0) maintained their No. 1 ranking after defeating the Commanders 23-17 despite missing four of their top five receivers.

The San Francisco 49ers (6-0) retained the top spot in the weekly NFL Power Rankings following a 23-17 win against the Washington Commanders. Despite the victory, San Francisco faces significant wide receiver attrition, with Ricky Pearsall, De'Zhaun Stribling, Christian Kirk, and Demarcus Robinson all on injured reserve. Mike Evans also departed Monday night's game with Achilles tendinitis.

The Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) remain at No. 2 after beating the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6. The Chiefs are currently managing injuries to both starting tackles, as 2025 first-round pick Josh Simmons is sidelined with a bulging disk and Jaylon Moore sustained a concussion. The Buffalo Bills (5-1) hold the No. 3 position after a 33-30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, a game in which the offense committed zero turnovers.

In contrast, the Los Angeles Rams fell out of the top 10 for the first time this season following an 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams have lost four of their first six games, joining only four other teams in the last 50 seasons to do so after entering the year as the outright Super Bowl favorite. Arizona secured the win despite going 0-for-5 in the red zone.

Other notable Week 6 results included the Houston Texans defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31. The matchup featured the Texans debut of Marvin Harrison Jr., who recorded three receptions for 34 yards. The Baltimore Ravens dropped to No. 8 after a 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, a game where Baltimore was penalized three times for delay of game with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley.
