Real Madrid lifted the U20 Intercontinental Cup for the first time following a victory over Santiago Wanderers in front of a record 52,117 fans.

Real Madrid defeated Santiago Wanderers to claim the U20 Intercontinental Cup at the Bernabéu, fueled by goals from Daniel Yañez, Fran Santamaría, and Roberto Martín. The match, which featured the UEFA Youth League winners against the U20 Copa Libertadores champions, saw Wanderers reduced to eight men after Alexander Dubó, Cristopher Valenzuela, and Nicolás Carvacho were all sent off.

A record youth football attendance of 52,117 spectators witnessed the victory, surpassing the previous milestone set during the 2025 final at the Maracanã Stadium. The dismissal of Dubó occurred in the 25th minute following a foul on Yañez, who subsequently converted the resulting free-kick to open the scoring. While Christian Silva managed to equalize for the Chilean side, Santamaría restored Madrid's lead late in the second half.

The final minutes were marked by a chaotic finish where Valenzuela and Carvacho were dismissed. Although Yañez missed a penalty during this period, Martín eventually scored to secure the win. Real Madrid joins Benfica, Boca Juniors, and two-time winners Flamengo as champions of the competition, which was established in 2022.
