The Indianapolis Colts are considering a trade offer involving a second-round draft pick for star running back Jonathan Taylor before Tuesday's deadline.
The Indianapolis Colts have received a trade offer consisting of a second-round draft pick and additional compensation for running back Jonathan Taylor. While multiple teams have expressed interest in the star rusher, the Colts currently view Taylor as a component of their rebuilding efforts. The organization is reportedly seeking a return comparable to the package the Carolina Panthers received for Christian McCaffrey before the Tuesday 4 p.m. ET deadline.
Indianapolis is also managing interest in several other players. The team has informed rivals of a standing fourth-round pick offer for wide receiver Josh Downs, who requested a trade during the final year of his contract. Additionally, veteran wideout Keenan Allen and defensive tackle Grover Stewart have drawn inquiries, though the Colts' high asking price for Stewart has deterred potential suitors thus far.
Despite a 0-7 record, the Los Angeles Chargers have informed teams they will not trade pass rusher Khalil Mack. Coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed both he and Mack want the veteran to remain with the organization. The Chargers have also issued firm rejections regarding inquiries for quarterback Justin Herbert and rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey.
Elsewhere in the league, the Denver Broncos inquired about Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, but were told the Colorado native is not available. The Jacksonville Jaguars are seeking defensive playmakers following the loss of DaVon Hamilton, while the Kansas City Chiefs have shown interest in Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Thomas saw limited action in a recent Thursday night victory over Baltimore, playing 19 snaps without a reception. In Tennessee, the Titans are listening to offers for wide receiver Calvin Ridley in exchange for a late-round pick, though they have declined to move running back Tony Pollard.
