Stephen Curry scored 41 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 126-119 overtime victory over the Orlando Magic on Saturday night. This performance marked Curry’s 16th career 40-point game since turning 35 years old, surpassing LeBron James (15) and Michael Jordan (12) for the most in NBA history. The win is the seventh consecutive victory for Golden State, making them the first team since the 1950-51 Boston Celtics to follow an 0-3 start with a seven-game winning streak.

Curry recorded 17 points during the final seven minutes of play. In the closing 2:21 of regulation, he scored 12 points via two deep 3-pointers, a layup, two free throws, and a 12-foot running floater with 25 seconds remaining. Orlando's Jamal Cain forced the extra period with a tip-in layup with two seconds left on the clock after the Magic erased a 16-point first-half deficit to lead by six in the fourth quarter.

Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg contributed 23 points in the win. During the overtime period, backup center Charles Bassey scored the first four points and Lendeborg added a wing 3-pointer to establish a five-point lead. Curry secured the result with two floaters and a free throw in the final frame. The 41-point total represents Curry’s second 40-point game of the current season and the 77th of his 18-year career.
