Yamal Double Leads Barcelona to 4-2 Victory at Levante

Lamine Yamal scored in the 19th minute and converted a second-half penalty to help Barcelona secure a 4-2 win over Levante.

Barcelona extended their perfect LaLiga start to five matches with a 4-2 victory against Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València. Xavi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a deflected strike following a pass from Raphinha. Lamine Yamal doubled the lead in the 19th minute, finishing from six yards into the roof of the net after Fermín López and Raphinha combined on a counter-attack.

Yamal increased the advantage to 3-0 early in the second half by converting a penalty, marking his sixth league goal of the season, after being fouled by Aïssa Mandi. Levante, who entered the match in 14th place, responded late in the game. Substitute Iván Romero pounced on a misplaced pass to score in the 79th minute, and Roger Brugué added a second for the hosts in the 88th minute after his initial attempt was saved by Joan García.

Barça secured the win in the third minute of stoppage time when Karim Adeyemi beat two defenders to steer a low shot past goalkeeper Mathew Ryan. The result moves Barcelona three points clear at the top of the table. During the match, Andreas Christensen prevented a Levante goal with a goal-line clearance, while Joan García recorded saves against efforts from Víctor García and Brugué.
